Heat pumps take heat from the outside and by using a 'refrigeration' process in reverse pump heat into your property. These save heating cost, reduce CO2 production and with the new RHPP and we expect the RHI scheme attract a generous cash incentive from the government.
Photovoltaics use semiconductor wafers to convert sunlight into electricity. This electricity can be used in your property or fed back into the grid. Using the Feed in Tariff you not only save the cost of importing the electricity you can receive the FiT payment on all the electricity generated (even if you use the electricity). The actual FiT rate is at present under review. Bellinus supply fixed PV systems mounted on the roof or on a low level frame or a sun tracking system which offers greater output.
Solar hot water is well established as a means of saving money and supplying ample hot water for much of the year. This technology also reduces CO2 production and when the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme goes ahead in 2011 will produce a generous cash payment for the renewable heat generated. Bellinus supply both the evacuated tube and flat panel types of hot water solar panels.
Solar hot water and air source heat pumps will soon be suported as part of the Government Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Scheme. The RHI scheme will provide cash payments for users of heat pumps and solar hot water from 2011. To obtain the payment the installation must be carried out by an MCS accredited installer. The RHI scheme is a part of the drive towards reducing CO2 emissions by 2020.
